Pete Wertheim Public Health Leadership Award recognizes an individual who demonstrates exemplary leadership and goes above expectations to address public health needs or challenges and exemplifies innovative approaches to improving public health in Arizona.

Pete was a former president of AzPHA and a long-sustaining member. He also worked as Chief Legislative Liaison for the Arizona Department of Health Services, served as Vice President of Communication for the Arizona Hospital and Healthcare Association, and Executive Director for the Arizona Osteopathic Medical Association.
