"Write Simple: A Minimalist's Guide to Reaching Your Health Population"

This workshop provides an overview of health literacy principles as they relate to writing. There will be a hands-on portion, so participants should bring a communication piece (brochure, patient education handout, program flyer, etc.) that they can review and edit during the workshop. 

Learning Objectives:

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
  • Define health literacy and understand why it is important.
  • Apply Plain Language principles to their communications.
  • Apply tips and techniques for creating materials that reach a wide range of literacy levels.

AZPHA is applying for continuing education through GVAHEC:

Nursing- Application for Nursing continuing education credit has been submitted with the California Board of Nursing for 1.25 credits, determination of credit is pending. 
Social Work- Application for Social Work continuing education credit has been submitted with the AZ Chapter of NASW for 1.25 credits, determination of credit is pending. 
CHES- This event has been approved for 1.25 CHES Continuing Education Units by AzPHA.
