  • Webinar Description: The Arizona Living Well Institute is the state-wide hub for Chronic Disease Self-Management Education (CDSME) Healthy Living programs. These programs are evidence-based workshops that give people the knowledge, confidence, and motivation needed to manage the challenges of living with chronic conditions and live an overall healthier life. One of the programs offered is Healthy Living with Chronic Pain (CPSMP). In addition to self-management skills such as healthy eating, problem solving, and dealing with difficult emotions, Healthy Living with Chronic Pain (CPSMP) specifically addresses addiction, proper use of pain medication, and proper use of opioids. This program is a useful tool in reducing opioid misuse and abuse. When used in conjunction with medication assisted treatment (MAT) programs, it can increase self-confidence and empower participants to take an active role in their lives.
